All in a WeekendSaturday

November 5, 2012

Saturday: 6am. Mr. B already up and routing a rounded edge onto trim. Good thing we have a giant open space in the middle of the great room 🙂

Saturday: 1 pm. Started painting the trim. This paint color (Benjamin Moore’s Greenwich Village) was what the plaster company told me the closest match was to our plaster color. They don’t look the same to me, but I still like them both and the contrast is nice.

Saturday: 5 pm. Interior doors hung, removed, and set up to be stained.

Saturday: 7:30 pm. Dinner. Broccoli + capers + sun dried tomatoes + pasta. I chcukled when I took this picture. It seems so christmas-y. Mr. B is like character out of a Dickens novel. Starting around October, barely a day goes by when he doesn’t mention how excited he is about the holidays. He doesn’t care about presents or parties, just family, time off, and maybe ice fishing.

Saturday: 9 pm. Heat recovery ventilator operational! No picture, but imagine fresh air in every room.

Sunday: 4 pm. Finished painting what I can reach on the siding. I love this color! I might have to re-paint our picnic table or something. Yes, Mr. B was gone and I spent most of the day sewing and working on homework.

I think the contrast on the trim with the exterior coat of plaster is excellent. Nicely done. The dinner looked good. As time permits, send a photo of Tempe, we miss her too! All looks so good.

We are looking forward to the holidays as well. Mom Jones and Mr. B did a drive-by lunch yesterday, it was a treat to see them both.
