Green House – Plaster Reveal!

What’s that I see on the horizon? Is it a fully plastered house?

It is! Mr. B took the tarps down this week, and we finally got to really see what the outside of the house looks like, as well as what it is like to be IN the house and see OUT.

The control joints look really nice and add some interest to what would otherwise be a really blank wall.

The trim on the bumps outs also came out really well. Because the walls are so wonky, Mr. B used a scribe to make each piece of trim sit 1/8″ out from the wall, and then we plastered right up to them.

I think this picture shows the color best:

The second morning was so cold, the plaster was freezing on our hawks and on the wall. It is hard to see in this picture (I tried upping the contrast), but the plaster dried with ice crystal imprints on it.

The weekend was freezing, long, and we broke the plaster-rule about not using the product below 40 degrees, but it is DONE and looks great.

Great to break a rule and get away with it. I am confident having that monkey of your backs is a great relief. Looks fabulous. Congratulations. Mr. M
